Mark Richards

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Mark leads the senior management team to drive the vision of the company and foster eCommerce innovation for Kalio customers.

Over the last 25 years, he has held CEO, CIO, President, VP Consulting, and a variety of management and business development leadership positions for various high-tech firms. He brings expertise in general management, business development, business applications, and IT services to Kalio.

Prior to Kalio, Mark was the CEO and President of Moyo Group, a Silicon Valley-based IT consultancy specializing in managed services, business system implementation, data center management, and IT security.

Mark served as a founding management team member at Corio, an early pioneer in cloud-based enterprise applications, which went public in 2000 and was acquired by IBM in 2005.

Mark holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.

Kim Planet

Chief Solutions Architect

Kim Planet is the evangelist of the Kalio vision orchestrating solutions that deliver highly-maintainable web sites that out-perform their competition. She brings Kalio the benefit of over 22 years of software development, project management, and eCommerce experience. As the Chief Solutions Architect, Kim is responsible for the successful implementation of our Kalio Commerce customer websites, placing a heavy emphasis on quality and overall customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining Kalio, Kim served as Vice President of Information Technology for Schaeffer’s Investment Research, a leading financial publishing company. In that capacity, Kim led the successful development and redeployment of the company’s business-to-consumer eCommerce website and email campaigns.

Kim was founder of KAP Technology Services, which provided consulting to the Mayo Clinic on the development of an electronic diabetes management system. Kim also served in leadership roles for several prominent companies, including Digineer, Software Synergy, Lexis-Nexis, Great American Insurance Company, and Convergys.

Kim earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Engineering Technology from Ball State University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Ball State University.

Mike Wachner

Chief Technology Officer

As CTO of Kalio, Mike Wachner is responsible for supporting platform development, cloud management services, professional services and sales. He is directly involved with customers as a solutions architect. Mike has more than 20 years of experience architecting, developing and managing eCommerce projects and has developed four generations of eCommerce platforms.

Prior to joining Kalio, Mike Wachner was the founder and president at CommerceHaven, where he oversaw all aspects of the eCommerce company. He used his extensive knowledge of eCommerce coupled with his experience building highly-scalable and reliable web applications to help customers grow their businesses.

Mike was also the Founder and CEO of ThePage.com, which was acquired by software company Junction Solutions. He ran the eCommerce division for six years. Prior to founding ThePage, Mike was co-founder of a leading web development company. He holds a degree in Physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Mike is also co-author of a patent for improving the size and usability of streaming video over slow internet connections.

Larry Wasserman

Chief Marketing Officer

Larry Wasserman serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Kalio Commerce where he leads the company’s branding, messaging, and lead generation activities. Larry’s efforts have helped build industry awareness for Kalio’s mid-market ecommerce solution and his experience leading ecommerce organizations is helping to shape the company’s product roadmap.

Larry brings over 20 years’ experience working in both ecommerce and technology marketing. Prior to joining Kalio Commerce, Larry led the digital and ecommerce activities for several companies including Positive Promotions, Excelligence Learning (Really Good Stuff), and Scholastic. Larry was also instrumental in leading the launch of two ecommerce divisions while working for Bertelsmann AG.

In addition to his experience working in ecommerce, Larry also has an extensive background in technology marketing. An early employee of LivePerson, Larry built the initial marketing strategy and team that helped the company achieve rapid growth leading to a successful IPO. He has also served as interim CMO for WebCollage and currently serves as a strategic advisor to two early-stage companies.

Larry holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University at Albany, SUNY.
